Teens & Weans

This is the culmination of a digital intergenerational project; where young people have created an app designed for the very young to play. Teenagers have steered the design, UX, coding & music. Early years children provided the artwork and voices for the app.

The project was facilitated by Hippotrix with David Trouton a music specialist.

The teenagers were part of West Lothian Youth Action Project and the early years children were from Toronto Nursery. The project was funded by Creative Scotland’s Time To Shine Digital Fund and managed by West LothianCouncil’s Community Arts.

Workshops for the young people included design, coding, music production, sound recording and software testing. Experience and skills gained included: teamwork, digital awareness, software development and confidence in music production.</br></br></br>
